CIAS MULTI-TECH SOLUTION WAS CHOSEN FOR A
COMPLEX PERIMETER MADE OF MANY SITES
In Italy , over the past 4 years, the close collaboration between CIAS and A2A Smart City, a technological company dedicated to security, which today manages 3,000+ public and private cameras, 4,100 km of optical fiber, 4,000+ sensors, has made it possible to develop perimeter protection projects with the aim of safeguarding people, corporate assets, and ensure continuity of service for all its users.
Those critical infrastructures of national importance, such as hydroelectric and gas generation plants, transformation stations, recycling stations and waste-to-energy plants, are scattered throughout the territory. It is estimated that more than 10 km have been protected between fences, walls and supply pipes. The real challenge was to guarantee the ROI (Return On Investment) based on the technological amortization of at least 10 years of service, right from the design phase.
THE RIGHT CHOICE: EVOLVED AND EFFICIENT SYSTEMS
Extremely reliable digital Fuzzy Logic devices have been selected, 100% designed and built in Italy by CIAS factory. The wide CIAS portfolio meets the complexity of irregular perimeters by offering a mix of technologies, such as "linear" microwave, fence-mounted MEMS sensors and FSK radar. After such an application case no doubt is left that sophisticated electronic technologies like MEMS fence-sensors and microwave barriers can work perfectly even close to electrical conductors up to 150kV.
